THE X FILES, BELIEVE




It may sound exaggerated, but the X Files changed my life.

Without knowing it, my perception of the world had changed dramatically.

A new world of possibilities had opened before me.

It had all the paranormal phenomena that had always fascinated me, but there was something else...


On one side I felt the series were part of a disinformation strategy to keep us in the dark...

And on the other side I felt someone was really trying to shed a light on us mankind.

In the end, one way or another, there was an apparent truth to be found.


After all, who wouldn't want to know it?

This idea had captured my imagination in such a way that I couldn't resist the brutal lure of the unknown.

And the best of all is that I had found some mentors who could give me some clues on how to approach this dark territory of the unexplained.

From special agent Fox Mulder I learned to open my mind and develop my intuition and follow it to the most astonishing possibilities, no matter what.

Because of him I become versed on a very special kind of ability...

To think outside the box.

Fox Mulder helped me develop astuteness and perceive the incognito in ways I never considered before.


From special agent Dana Scully I learned to question.

From Dana I became able on not discarding reason so I could protect myself from disinformation.

From her I learned healthy skepticism.


These helpers symbolized for me some kind of divine intervention, where help could come if you didn't have anywhere else to go.


All these were the guides to me on the obscure and mysterious.

Because the X Files for sure had their dark side.

The secret group that controls the world behind the scenes...


Like a puppet master.

Imagine we are at the expense of someone who controls the information we receive.

What if someone else would decide what has to be accepted as truth or lie?

We would be at a great disadvantage on our own personal quest for truth.


THE TRUTH IN THE VOID

Do you remember the mythological void?

An apparent darkness...

But...

EVERYTHING EXISTS AS A POTENTIAL REALITY.


And a whole universe of possibilities to explore.

Be alert...

Because anything can happen when you shed a light on that profound darkness of the void and the mysterious.

Anything...


 Like occult creatures on Cryptozoology...


Or paranormal creatures enigmas...


Or ghosts mystifications...


And for sure many secrets on UFOS...


But also beyond matter mysteries...

Beyond energy possibilities...


Beyond space phenomena...


Beyond time alterations...


And different kind of unsolved mysteries...

Should I believe in all the possibilities depicted before?

Do you remember this poster in Mulder's office?

But then I realized I had to be careful of not believing everything at first hand.

I had been moving because of Mulder but also I had been putting my brakes on because of Scully.

Suddenly I found myself at a cross road. I was an easy prey for disinformation.

Then the movies came...

The X Files: Fight the Future


The X Files: I Want to Believe


My perspective about the unexplained had been suffering a very subtle and profound shift...

A new paradigm was starting to take place in my life, to believe without believing.


In the end, if it weren't for these two FBI agents, my posture towards paranormal phenomena would have been different.

Then an era of darkness dominated when there were no X Files stories to tell (neither TV nor movies).

The light that could guide us and inspire us to know the truth was getting weaker.

Even though darkness, ignorance and disinformation stalked our lives...

Other ways of storytelling remained...

Like comics...


And Games.

So we could keep believing and exploring.


Until the light arose again...


THE X FILES NEW SEASON

A new era of exploration began to me with the new season on 2016.

A new opportunity to open my mind and keep believing...


To find out how unfathomable the universe can be...

And keep searching for answers.

So light could keep lighting our own personal path beyond the darkness of ignorance and disinformation...


Now I had found a new approach to fulfill my quest.

The lights in the darkness...

What happens when two rays of light (the brilliancy of Mulder's approach and the brilliance of Scully's perspective) converge and merge together?

That middle zone sheds more light.

Who knows?

Maybe the truth is...

In between these two mottos.

Mulder's open mind belief versus Scully's rational mind skepticism.


 To believe without believing.
